I love inspiring others through collaborative work to advance healthcare simulation, measure and provide clinical education, increase healthcare communication and ultimately improve safety for our patients.  Leadership tests describe me as thinker, innovator, and visionary. I believe achievement of goals requires team building, communication, empowerment of others as well as focused attention to achieve a strategic plan. I thrive on collaborative professional relationships and believe together we can provide excellence in education and ultimately clinical care.

Professional Recommendations

Consulting Recommendation 1

"Lori Lioce is truly the consummate professional. I in the role of Director for the Center of Simulation and Innovation (CSI) at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) School of Nursing (SON) cannot thank her enough for her successful consultation at our school this past May. I am involved in a simulation research grant that is designed to increase faculty use of high fidelity simulation in conjunction with the nursing students patient care clinical experience. Unsure of the direction to take and how to invigorate the faculty on the rigors, pedagogy and essentials for simulation education, we had the good fortune to find our new friend and simulation expert Dr Lori Lioce. In short order Lori and her teaching colleague customized a simulation course for our faculty and set our sense of wonderment on fire. The faculty learned the theory, practice and design of high quality simulation program planning. The course was so informative and empowering; we at the School of Nursing are hoping to convince Lori to consider this course as a regular recurring offering at our center each year. Lori’s professional expertise and ability to teach was most impressive. She did so in a non-prescriptive and creative style that had the faculty overtly motivated to the use and development of simulation. This course is the welcomed beginning of what is certain to be the stimulus for meeting the criterion set forth in our research grant. In an open letter of gratitude I fully recommend Dr Lori Lioce without reservation as a simulation education specialist consultant and educator. Eternally grateful – "
